Psychometric Certification – British Psychological Society Levels 1 & 2

What the course covers

In this course, participants master the science behind psychometric evaluations. They learn how to examine, evaluate, select, administer and score a wide range of tests in workplace settings. Finally, they explain what the results mean for candidates and corporate clients.

After completing the course, participants register with the BPS as a Level 2 qualified test user (RQTU). Then, they can apply for the Euro Test Certificate (EuroTU) from the European Federation of Psychological Associations.

This foundation-level coursework teaches participants to administer psychometric tests correctly. It offers basic instruction on ethics and best practices. Students learn standard and reliable methods that they can apply to many tests.

Course structure

Pre-coursework: Pre-coursework consists of the completion of an assessed workbook. The workbook is supported by a detailed set of course notes, which will help you to complete the workbook questions. In total, you should allow around 20 hours to complete the pre-coursework.

Lectures and classroom sessions: A series of lectures and information sessions delivered by Chartered Psychologists.

Independent working: Completion of a set of written reports for both workshops.

Small group practical work and drop in sessions: To give you the opportunity to put your administration and feedback skills into practice, you will be working in small groups and running ‘real-life’ testing sessions.
